I'm A Warrior

I'm a warrior like Odysseus I guess because I do go through alot of obstacles physically having to deal with sports and trying earn my position on the teams that I play. I try to do my best at what I do even when I don't want to.

I Define Myself

My quest in life is to find something that defines me, I'm basically trying to find my identity. My question for myself is what is my purpose in this world,whether it be sports or something else. While in highschool I want to found out what will define me the most.

My Mother and My Adviser

Since May 10, 1994 and the extra eight months my mom has been there and will always be there for me. She has been there through very hard times even when my dad didn't want to be there for me. I've learned so many things from her, she gave me advice even when I didn't want to hear it, she still told it like it was. One thing my mom has not did to me was sugarcoat things i mean she probably has but I dont remeber if she did. I think if my mother wasn't in my life to this day I wouldn't be where I am right now.

The Threshold Guardian

During my middle school years there was one person that was basically pushing me to my limit in sports. He was my old English teacher back in the day. Coach Vonner even though I didn't like him at first he helped to succeed and become a better athlete. The reason for this is because he saw potential in me. Now that I'm in highschool I can say I'm a better athlete because of him.

Two Households & Temptation

Growing up at the age of 8 was hard because my mom and dad were split up, so I had to one home to the next back in forward. It was kind of complicated during that time and it still is. I've had to adjust to different people and their rules. That would probably be my shadow because I had to even build a relationship of some sort with my dad, and boy was that hard and I'm still not there yet. But I think once I graduate from high school I really won't have to worry about this problem. Temptation has also always been a problem for me because everyone is tempted espeacilly if your a teenager. I just dont want this to affect my life and its hard trying to to do the right thing and stay on track, so if I think I get rid of this in my life I will have an even brighter future.

My Homeboys

I guess I would have to say most of my friends are tricksters, they keep me laughing almost crying because I'm laughing so hard. But when I chill with my friends I kinda forget all of my problems and worries for the moment, its like nothing matters anymore. I relax and lossen up whenever we joke around. I just think I have the most fun when I'm around them.

My Faith In God

Why do people go to church to hear the word right. Well yes I am a christian and I do believe in God. I've been going to church since I was a little boy, I use to sit in the front pew next to my grandmother. As a young child I didn't really understand what God could do for my life until I was in the 4th or 5th grade. I've heard so many testimonials form people about how God has blessed them and I can truly say that I'm blessed. God is someone I can turn to when in doubt I know he'll bring me out, even when it seems like he won't. Right now in my life I'm just trying to walk by faith and not by sight.
